Non-Cash Gifts
Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity appreciates the generosity of all our supporters and the various types of support they provide. Often we receive support in forms other than sponsorships and cash donations, such as quantities of insulation or roofing tiles, lots of lumber or flooring, or pallets of paint left over from other jobs. On occasion local business owners are inclined to donate their time and talent, and that of their employees, rather than making an out-of-pocket donation. We welcome donation of skilled services for which we would normally pay, such as HVAC, plumbing, concrete work, and electrical.
Materials and Equipment
Southern Crescent Habitat gratefully accepts donations of the following items:
► building supplies (paint, nails, glue, hinges, etc.)
► tools (hammers, paint brushes, saws, screwdrivers, etc.)
► materials (lumber, trim, doors, windows, cabinets, sinks, etc.)
► appliances (refrigerators, water heaters, stoves, etc.)
Donated materials will be used in the construction of Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity homes.
If you would like to donate building materials we are able to provide an acknowledgement of that gift for the purposes of tax deduction. Please contact our Development Office at (770) 477-2367, or via email to discuss your donation.
Services
Southern Crescent Habitat gratefully encourages donations of skilled services for the purposes of home building or teaching or many homeowner education and volunteer construction classes. Every house requires the services of a skilled carpenter, electrician, HVAC professional, plumber, drywaller, and concrete worker among others.
If your business would like to become involved in providing cost-free or discounted services for a build or builds, we are able to provide an acknowledgement of that gift for the purposes of tax deduction. Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity is in great need of the items listed below. Here are several ways you can help:
- We would welcome donations of any of the items listed on this page. If a new item is unavailable, we will also accept used items in good working condition. Please call us before making delivery arrangements: (770) 477-2367.
- We would gratefully recieve a monetary donation of funds designated for a specific purchase. Print a copy of our donation form, indicate the item you wish to purchase, and mail the form with a check to our office. We will purchase the "donated" item in your name.
