These volunteers serve hot lunch with a smile during a build project. (Michael A. Schwarz/HFHI) |
You don’t need to be a construction expert to help with the Habitat mission. Most people think of swinging a hammer when they think about volunteering for Habitat. But there is a tremendous amount of planning and management required to build just one home. We have a constant need for volunteers and committee members to help with a variety of non-construction tasks.
Some of these non-construction opportunities are perfect for our younger volunteers (under the age of 16) and families who'd like to serve together.

- Workshop Leaders
We are recruiting volunteers with extensive knowledge in any phase of construction to teach skills to partner families and volunteers in quarterly or semiannual workshops.
- Office Assistance
We can often use help at the office answering the phone, greeting visitors, filing, preparing mailings, etc. We are particularly in need of experienced receptionists on Wednesdays.
